When you browse the bread shelf in your grocery store, look for the term “100% whole grain” or “100% whole grain” on the packaging.

“If you’re wondering which is better, either thing works,” says Jeffers. “Whole grain is a whole grain.”

Although different types of grain have different benefits, many whole grain breads are made primarily with wheat. When looking for a good grain mix, check your ingredient label.
